ISAM is a hedge fund manager that was formed in July 2008 led by Stanley Fink. ISAM has two key strategies ISAM Systematic and ISAM Fusion. ISAM Systematic is a world leading futures based hedge fund specialising in systematic trading using advanced statistical methods. ISAM Fusion is a systematically managed multi strategy portfolio of hedge funds investing solely in liquid markets. The key individuals within ISAM are among the earliest pioneers of managed futures investing. Larry Hite set up Mint Investment Management in 1981, which as a joint venture with the Man Group became the first CTA to manage $1bn annualizing at over 19%. Stanley Fink joined Man Group in 1987 subsequently becoming MD of Man’s small fund management business, Man Investments and Group CEO in 2000. He was responsible for the growth of the asset management business, the purchase of AHL and ultimately the development of what became the largest Hedge Fund Company in the world.
